TEAM - Tackling the Mental Health Stigma in Youth Football

“Mental Health in Youth Football: A Systemic Review of Risk and Protective Factors” co-authored by Praisan, G., Scaramuzza, C., Raimo, M., Bertollo, M., Yiapanas, G.This study reviewed research from 2015–2025 which maps the key risk and protective factors influencing young athletes' well-being, generated significant interest and sparked a vibrant discussion with the international audience. The positive engagement highlights the critical importance of this work for coaches, clubs, and sporting organizations worldwide.


Presentation of an Abstract paper linked to the above literature review at the 18th Annual Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business in Porto, on 12/09/2025. The “TEAM - Tackling the Mental Health Stigma in Youth Football” program is currently in the process of collecting new data and extracting new findings in 5 EU countries (Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal).


The 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of TEAM will be held at Trikala, Greece on 25th - 26th November 2025.
